Also I'd love some input from others on colours and noise ... This was shot using a cinelike D mode with everything set to 0 and edited in Prem Pro 2014 , If memory serves I was on 800 ASA which is high but I expected better results for the noise ... The "black" bars are not the same black as the black surrounding them on my monitor... I output the clip using the factory preset for Vimeo which presumably is RGB as opposed to 709, so surely the black bars should match the black on my screen?? (the bars are a shade lighter)

Aside from the focus issue I'd be very grateful for comments / advice / guidance on noise especially in the blacks which are always a bit crappy ..

I shot it on a GH4 with some lumix lenses. I was happy with the coverage I got. However grading remains a challenge for me (not aided by my lacking a proper monitor. The part I'm least happy with is when Ackermann is seated in front of the camera while it's on a tripod. I only used the available light, and he looks kind of ghoulish here. He had overhead fluorescent lights coming in from the left, and through the window was the sunlight that was reflecting off of a bright red building, making his face half greenish and half reddish.

All other cameras were GH1 and GH2 with LPowell hacks. Interviews and voice over were Cheap lav with Zoom H1 or the Video Mic Pro plugged into the GH2 with Pasadena Audio Hack Lenses were the ever reliable old Panny 14-140 and Pancake 20mm.

So this project is coming now to an end of editing (aprox 55 minutes). I was wondering if somebody had some footage about hurricanes or storms taking place in the Caribbean Region, winds, rain etc and some destruction-shots we could share. The film is not for TV or any commercial institutions but only for worldwide environmental organisations and educational purposes in schools etc in the Caribbean and Latin-American Region. So in case somebody has some stuff, we could obviously pay something, but very basic stuff. We would need aprox 1 minute edited. Its quite urgent so. Thanks for helping out.

This is a German song dating from the 18th century which speaks of "freedom of thought" to which everyone is entitled. This song is very famous in Germany, and it is sung in Alsace to defend freedom of expression for more than 40 years.

Everybody was here for free (Budget production : 0 euros except tee shirts !), all stuff is provided "free" by video local companies.

There are "local stars" singing but also anonymous, all from the Alsace region, which is close to Germany. The project rose to power following the terrorists attacks, to tell everyone that freedom of thought is fundamental to live well together.

I've only had five days to organize everything, of course I did not have a budget, but the shock of the attacks created a mobilization and so I definitely got more that if I had the money ! The shooting and editing were held in stride. As the video editing was done with support from "France 3 Alsace", the regional TV channel, the film is in DV PAL! Indeed they still broadcast in this format, so they are not equipped in HD...

Color calibration was done in a hurry and with means of the edge. It is certain that the cameras mixture is an aberration, but I had no choice with time allotted to me ...

The video clip was broadcast in the local television news therefore, but also on the web, and post placed on facebook tallied 200,000 views in 48 hours which is really okay for a local music video!

In a few days, a free concert will be held, 5,000 spectators are expected. I will realize then live concert uptake (7 cameras with a crane), which will be broadcast live on the web, then it will be released after video editing a week later on regional TV channel.

I basically used a GH2 for the wide shots, AC90 for the close-up shots and edited using Premiere Pro CC 2014. You can read the description in the video for get a little story about the video.
