Merlin vs other stabilizing options with GH2

Every once in a while I'll come across a stray Steadicam Merlin for sale on craigslist between $400-$600 range. I'm tempted, but not entirely convinced of the Merlin's compatibility with GH2? Anyone have experience with this combination? For that kind of money, should I be looking more at rig setups? I'm a mobile shooter, but once in a while I'll use a tracking dolly for pretty shots. I'm not entirely convinced on the sniper/cowboy line of rigs either. Thoughts and open discussion on this topic?

Can anyone comment on the quality of Proaim gear? I'm in need of a wearable stabilizer and I'm considering the PROAIM 7300 Stabilization System. It's substantially cheaper than any other solution (that can handle my camera weigh requirement).

Company added counterbalance.
Main goal is to remove twisting force on handle.

Hi, i need to make some frames of horse riding. I will shoot it from moving car and i need to reduce shaking. I have 900$ to buy a stabilization device. What do you recomend for me? Do i need arm, or i can make it with steadicam in my hand? What can i buy for my budget? I am totally novice for work with steadicam, so will be happy with any recomendations. Thank you.

to me it looks pretty well thought-through, unlike many "new" designs that are rally just knockoffs. It does look a little small, but then it also looks prety solid. Bearings are a plus, Aircraft grade is a plus, Made In USA (for me . . . I'm USA) is a plus.

What do you think? It looks like this is the first produced unit. Perhaps someone should snag this and then maybe a group buy if it is good? I'm certainly thinking about it . . .

Same for rod length.
Also weight can be shifted, this is good.

Hi I need a slider that do not weigh a ton and can be fun to have around for personal videos. This not pro work. It should be able to mount on to a tripod head. Other than that I do not know whether one with bearing or other types are desirable. Among what Vitaliy recommended in another post, I am eying the following. I am unable to see any reviews for them..so I do not know.

Cheap Slider

I have Weifeng 717A tripod & fluid head. I'm thinking about Indi Slider Mini. Only $99. But it seems hassle to set up. Having the fluid head on top on the slider. Is there any other easy cheap option?

It looks like it took few years to India manufacturers to make relatively decent top platform.
Up to this moment only 6000 model had not awful platform.

Don't really like the handle much (on their FlyCam 6000 it is better shaped, and platform is also not bad).

"Moving" Camera

I'm very much interested in "moving" camera. I got a run-n-gun style rig to "walk" around with GH2. It worked OK. Now I want more.

I'm getting a bike handlebar mount. Only $3.27.

Bike is fun. GH2 is fun. How about bike and GH2? Exciting!!!

Any other suggestion to make the camera "moving" is welcomed.
