France: Government decided to help Amazon during hard times
    • A new order of the French government to first close bookstores, then ban the sale of books in the departments of the entertainment network FNAC. Finally, the book sales departments in all retail chains were closed.

Further, from the forbidden - all toys (2 months before the New Year!), and cosmetics! Moreover, personal hygiene products remain. A separate mention was made for doing haircut at home, and all kinds of cosmetic procedures. They are strictly prohibited. Apparently, that is why the sale of cosmetics is prohibited - so that women do not go anywhere and there are no places where you can put yourself in order.

Amazon is expected to more than triple sales in France of all this product categories.

Capitalism: LetsEncrypt owned by Google will try to force you to upgrade smartphone
    • According to Android Police, Certificate Authority Let’s Encrypt is warning that phones running Android versions before 7.1.1 Nougat won’t trust its root certificate starting in 2021, locking them out of many secure websites. The organization will stop default cross-signing for the certificate that enables this functionality on January 11th, 2021, and will drop the cross-signing partnership entirely on September 1st of that year.

You can try to install Firefox and use its own certificate store, but that won’t help with rival clients or functionality beyond browsers.

About 33.8 percent of Android users on Google Play run a version older than 7.1.

This is that happen if you have literal monopoly on free certificates.

Idiots: We have big issue with uneducated imbeciles ruling education
    • Residents of Scotland were forbidden to spank children for educational purposes.

A new law banning the physical punishment of children under 16 was approved by the Scottish Parliament last year. The ban went into effect on Saturday, November 7th. Previously, parents and guardians in Scotland were allowed to punish children in a similar manner.

The first country in the world to ban flip flops was Sweden in 1979. Scotland turned out to be the 57th country to follow this example. A similar law is expected to be approved in Wales in January 2021. If the law is passed, it will take effect from 2022. In England and Northern Ireland, such a bill is not yet planned to be passed.

So, how about ask parent and teachers if your laws helped? Bad idea, I guess, as answers won't be pleasant.

Spanking works perfect if it is being used at proper time and proper age, without any abuse of the child (!). Idea of modern idiots that parents should have no authority at all is, well, idea of idiots. As they try to make equal abusive parents with real big issues and normal families. Result is directly opposite - as they later try to use government institutions to correct children at the completely wrong age where hard methods don't work at all. Or they just start telling everyone that they are "special" and "alternatively gifted".

The old system is breaking down and decaying. That is true. But it is also true that new efforts are being made by other methods, by every means, to protect, to save this dying system. Even if it kills tens of thousands per week and unable to cope with pandemic.

You rightly state that the old world is breaking down. But you are wrong in thinking that it is breaking down of its own accord. No, the substitution of one social system for another is a complicated and long revolutionary process. It is not simply a spontaneous process, but a struggle, it is a process connected with the clash of classes. Capitalism is decaying, but it must not be compared simply with a tree which has decayed to such an extent that it must fall to the ground of its own accord. No, revolution, the substitution of one social system for another, has always been a struggle, a painful and a cruel struggle, a life and death struggle.
