Cooke has announced the release of a new lens that completes the SP3 set. The Cooke SP3 18mm T2.4 has a close focus of 12.3cm from the lens front and a diagonal field of view of 99° when paired with full-frame sensors and 82° when used with S35 sensors, among other features. The new lens finally completes the 6-lens set based on the legendary Speed Panchros. Cooke Optics is a British company manufacturing high-end cinema lenses used in all kinds of features and series like the recent Arcadian, Wonka, Comandante, Batman, Lupin, the Last of Us, and the list continues. In September 2023, the company launched the SP3 series, based on the Speed Panchro, offering the legendary “Cooke look” while remaining relatively lightweight and of a usable size.
