Artlist Acquires Motion Array for $65M – One-Stop Shop for Filmmakers

Artlist just announced that they have acquired the digital asssets marketplace platform Motion Array for $65M. Filmmakers can now access and license not only music, but also stock footage, effects, transitions, and plugins through the merged catolog of Artlist and Motion Array. From the press release: Artlist’s acquisition of Motion Array marks a significant step towards the company becoming a comprehensive creative stock solution for video creators. Founded in 2013, Motion Array has over 40 employees and has developed an all-in-one subscription-based creative marketplace and technology solution for video creators, focused on delivering a variety of high-quality digital media at an affordable price. Artlist Aquires Motion Array Artlist was founded in 2016 and was focused on licensing music for creatives.
