Artlist just announced that they have acquired the digital asssets marketplace platform Motion Array for $65M. Filmmakers can now access and license not only music, but also stock footage, effects, transitions, and plugins through the merged catolog of Artlist and Motion Array. From the press release: Artlist’s acquisition of Motion Array marks a significant step towards the company becoming a comprehensive creative stock solution for video creators. Founded in 2013, Motion Array has over 40 employees and has developed an all-in-one subscription-based creative marketplace and technology solution for video creators, focused on delivering a variety of high-quality digital media at an affordable price. Artlist Aquires Motion Array Artlist was founded in 2016 and was focused on licensing music for creatives. Over the years, they have expanded their portfolio, launched the stock footage site Artgrid (read our article here) in spring 2019 and releasing an extensive catalog of high-quality sound effects in early 2020.
