@humpman's new table at high ISO is outstanding 1080p, 720p good but playback is not reliable. The camera should be turned off/on to be able to playback all the saved clips. Thanks, humpman!

If the problem is consistent then you could plan your workaround. To have an external recorder for the sound might be a good reason and sync it with the video later on.

@suresure123 you have specific thought and request about lens characteristics. I think it is better for you to try all existing options and find it by yourself. As @Vitaliy_Kiselev, yes a very good option.

An Olympus OM 28mm f2.8/3.5 plus a cheap RJ Speed Booster is a nice option. It does not AF but it is compact for a vintage combo.

Which application did you use to play/edit the footages on PC? If you just want to play the footages, then you better convert it first to a more PC friendly format (e.g. .mp4) or install windows media player classic with K-Lite Codec Pack.

Nikon is nice, but you will not able to use m42 lenses. Canon FD mount for film slr is very good. the lenses is cheaper compared to Nikon and m42 to Canon FD adapter is exist. I ever saw nikon to fd adapter as well.

GF2 Stable Settings
Patch the firmware with PTOOL by ticking the Multilanguage icon. Charge your battery fully and do the firmware update as usual. It is a low-risk action, but in case you brick your camera then just buy another. GF2 is cheap nowadays.

Yes, 21MB/Sec I think. They try to implement 12 bit and 10 bit to bypass slow sd card limitation that the hunger for speed 14 bit needed. It is also meant to reduce the need for high capacity sd card as well. That is what they said.
