Vintage Lenses Recommendation (Contax Yashica, Canon FD, Minolta MD / Rokkor)

Hello camera nerds,

I need your help. I want to build a lens set from affordable but superb vintage lenses for cinematography. These 3 brands would be adapted via an passive adapter onto my Samsung NX1.

Focal lengths I am generally interested in: 24 or 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm

I'll need some experts opinion on which brand to go for. I don't know wether to go for Contax Yashica, Canon FD or Minolta vintage lenses so hit me up with your knowledge and recommendation. It is much appreciated.

50mm F1.4 Zeiss Planar

I have the Zeiss C/Y Mount 85mm f/1.4 from West Germany (with the ninja blade bokeh) and love it; it's probably the best lens I own. I'm deciding on the 50mm f/1.4 and want to know if there is much difference between the C/Y mount and recent ZF. The C/Y is much cheaper and if I'm using it mainly for the GH2 (or even on the 5D) why spend the extra money? Unless it's a better lens for some reason.

Finding second hand Yashica lenses can still be a viable solution for those who own a Yashica or Contax without the need for commercial lenses often of poor quality. Since I was lucky enough to use them and try, I wrote these brief notes that can serve as convenient GUIDE FOR PURCHASE and help you choose and buy the most interesting targets (and avoid the worst).

If it were not for the anti-reflective coating (a much more modest but in line with that of the competition today is not the best) often made it difficult to distinguish these from the corresponding old Yashica Zeiss objectives. A quality / price unbeatable. The best targets are those initialed ML while the DSB are the old economic series (in my opinion to let it go). The MC are the most recent economic compact lens whose characteristics are almost proportional to the price (to avoid).
