Does anyone have any idea if there will be a wide angle with similar effect and is accessible to work on night images?

I have read that this effect is achieved with optics with a number of odd knives. But not all have such a level, with my PanaLeica 25mm 1.4 I need to close to F7+ with what I have less light input and feel the difference.

Thanks.

'Always Shine', made with a GH series or a mirrorless? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/16611/always-shine-made-with-a-gh-series-or-a-mirrorless Sun, 19 Mar 2017 21:15:25 +0000 Manu4Vendetta 16611@/talks/discussions The look remember me a GH series, I have curiosity about. IMDB dont have camera's specification and nothing about in internet. The movie look was a very low budget, for post they needed a kickstarter campaign of a goal $18,000 ended in $22,483.

Anyway, my curiosity is that seeing it I suspect it was with a GH, although they could use some Sony or a JVC camcorder M4/3, and even Samsung, but I lean more to the possibility of a GH.

The cinematography is from Mark Schwartzbard, first first assistant camera of 'Borat', camera operator of 'BrĂ¼no' and additional camera operator of 'Up in the Air', 'The Departed', 'Little Children'.

Question for timelapse photographers http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/16017/question-for-timelapse-photographers Wed, 09 Nov 2016 06:49:16 +0000 MischaB 16017@/talks/discussions Hello everyone,

I'm working on my graduation project, I want to create the following, and I'd like to hear how you think about it;

"A mobile app, with information about how to make the best timelapses, using any technique (1080p, 4k, HDR, stereoscopic 3d etc) with tips and tricks for the settings."

It will not be an app that makes the timelapse, nor will it be an app that tells you exactly which settings to use; it should be more of a reference work, a helping hand.

Now I'm trying to use the design thinking method to build this idea, so that's why I need opinions. What do you guys think? Is it worth working on? What do you think should definetely be included or excluded? I'm thinking about an app because I suppose it's nice to have it with you when you're shooting a timelapse, but maybe that's a wrong assumption?

Best camera for a documentary project? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/13008/best-camera-for-a-documentary-project- Tue, 19 May 2015 20:48:24 +0000 tomasawyer 13008@/talks/discussions Hello everyone.

I will potentially be shooting a 'documentary-style' like shoot for a client that wants his house to be documented over the period of one year. As of now it is still a building site and the house's outer structure is almost done. The client wants the show to be stylised in the style of 'Grand Designs'.

I currently have a Lumix GH4 with 14-35 F2.8 lens.

I also still have a Sony HDR-FX1E from past projects.

The client does not care about 4K option and would want the final product be in 1080 anyway.

Might be a silly question but what camera should I use from those two? I don't want to shoot 1080 on the GH4 and the 4K transcoding and editing in 1080 would be painful especially for a project this long (and the size of the footage and backups would be exponentially bigger)

There is also a budget for a possibility to buy a new camera just for this project - any recommendations?

Thanks!

GH2 Newbie, need some help understanding and choosing hacks http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3380/gh2-newbie-need-some-help-understanding-and-choosing-hacks Sun, 27 May 2012 15:45:47 +0000 nosignal 3380@/talks/discussions Hi everyone, I recently bought a Lumix GH2. I've been doing a lot of reading, trying to understand and wrap my head around all these different hacks available for the gh2 firmware. I have 2 32GB SDHC memory card extreme class 10 cards for my gh2. I'm looking for a patch/hack/setting that will improve my video quality while remaining stable. I've read about the driftwood hacks, and flowmotion. It seems like most of the hacks I've read about focus pretty heavily on bitrate. Are there any other advantages to the hacks?

I realize this is a pretty basic question, but I have yet to really get my questions answered by reading.

thanks for any help
