Micromuff Skinny - Deadcat for the GH2 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3324/micromuff-skinny-deadcat-for-the-gh2 Thu, 24 May 2012 10:01:37 +0000 tvpglabs 3324@/talks/discussions Micromuff has come up with a product specifically designed for the GH2: The Skinny. I reviewed it on my blog: http://tvpglabs.com/?p=469 and made the following video review:

My takeaway: it's not perfect, but it's good enough to insure a sync track on a multiple camera shoot. What do you guys think?

GH1 dust protection http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2521/gh1-dust-protection Wed, 07 Mar 2012 12:20:51 +0000 elc 2521@/talks/discussions Hi All — I'm off to shoot a short film in Togo in a couple of months with my GH1, and am concerned about protecting the camera and lenses from dust and humidity. So far I'm planning on storing all of my sensitive gear in waterproof bags with fistfulls of silica gel packets for the humidity, but from what I've heard the conditions are generally very dusty, which can take a serious toll. While out shooting, some people have suggested covering the camera in plastic wrap, and I was thinking about slicing up clear plastic bags to make a hood that would leave better access, but I'm concerned that either method might cause the camera to overheat (looking at ~30°C daytime temps).

Any techniques that have worked for you in the past? General tips?

Many thanks!

LCD anti glare protection http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1758/lcd-anti-glare-protection Fri, 16 Dec 2011 16:43:16 +0000 DVANZ 1758@/talks/discussions http://www.photodon.com/c/Universal-Custom-Sizes.html
Its recommended to get 1/16th gap and one side for easy install and removal.
They do clear options as well as options for touchscreens.
Like XH that is 25% glare reduction and thin. Thicker is the XT which reduces 65% glare but softens the image somewhat and the XF options that is thicker again, 65% glare reduction and softens your image.

I find this is a better option visually that purspex on small screens. I just adds that layer of protection for that opps moment.
see this review.
