I have just released the free trial version of my new LUT Preview Gallery tool LUTastic. It will display a preview of your input Video with every LUT applied so you can select your favorite one with ease. It features a live preview of the video.

Trial version is limited to 3 LUTs. Pro version is not limited.

Suggestions for features are appreciated. Also: what forums and other places would be good to make people aware of this tool?

Cheapest Custom Ratio Field monitor?

Hi guys, I am looking for a way to preview my anamorphic footage on BMPCC and am looking for the cheapest external monitor with user-defined ratio.

I do not care about any other features, I just want it to be around 7'' or 10'' and able to produce 3.55:1 anamorphic or 1:1 square image.

It can be plasticky, heavy, I don't mind chinese-grade quality, just need it to be able to produce ratios that I mentioned above and fit BMPCC.

Main issue is the price point – I am on a very tight budget.

Anamorphic loupe?

Basically it would be like a normal lcd finder/loupe that optically decompresses the image taken with an anamorphic adapter or lens. For eg. useful when you can't or don't want to use a monitor.

Is there such a thing? I don't think so, or at least I could not find it.

Do you think that something like that would be practical and useful for anamorphic shooting?

Someone here tried to make guerrilla anamorphic adapter, a loupe would be easier to build and perhaps even to sell.

GH2 color difference between preview while recording and playback

Hi,

Before I press record the lcd shows different colors in comparison to the video I can watch after recording (after recording it looks a bit more green). I have tried nearly everything but without any good result.

Is the reason that the DSP of the cam doesnt compute every pic manipulation effect to save energy and to protect the cam from overheating in non recording mode?

any ideas to fix that? Or are patches for the hack available that will fix it?
