My director's cut of a music video I did last year. The artist ran me over completely in post and the official video is (in my opinion) at best at the level of a rough cut, she didn't even want color correction. VFX was also out the window.

So here is my intended version of the video that we agreed upon. Shot on GH2 with Flowmotion and Nikkor AI and AI-S lenses, edited in FCPX and graded in Resolve.

Hi! Im proud to present this musicvideo shot with GH2 (Sedna) as A-CAM and Canon 5DmkIII as B-cam. Its a bit bigger scale project than other ive seen here. I really love my GH2 as it gives much better detail and very pleasent colors compared to MK3. Its pretty easy to spot the detail difference between these two cams. Kipon m43 adapter with Zeiss and Canon lenses were used. Hack used was Sedna. Big thanks to VK and Driftwood!

"Disappearing effect" in Music Clip

Hello Everyone I recently saw Two Door Cinema Club's newest Music clip. It's called "sun" here's the link.

In this clip they're using a very confusing disappearing effect. Turns out I shoot a music clip my own in two weeks and I could use this effect too. Has anyone an Idea how they do it? I thought maybe they used green screen towels. But they're also using the effect in moving shots, so they actually had to film two times exactly the same camera movement to make it work, right ? Thanks for your answers :)

Music Video made with GH2 and 7D. 0 Budget, just lot of work. Youtube do not make justise to picture quality. Boht cams hold werry well heavy post procesing. Hope you like it, and pleas comment (if you like). GH2 was hacked with Driftwood settings.

I shot this during the summer in Gary Indiana, near Chicago. I am not sure of which patch I used, but I think that it may have been flowmotion. The opening was shot with a Nikon AI 24mm f2.8, the bedroom scenes with the aforementioned Nikon as well as a Tamron 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 and a very nice Fujinon c-mount 35mm f1.7. All of the rest was done with Bolex c-mounts, a Switar 25mm f1.5 and a Pizar26mm f1.9, leaving the vignetting by choice. It was edited in Premier CS6 using the Cineform codec. All of the grading and compositing was done in AE and the animated compass was done by Denis Bouyer, a very talented animator down in Australia.
