Lenses for GH4 on Zhiyun Crane? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/16576/lenses-for-gh4-on-zhiyun-crane Fri, 10 Mar 2017 15:48:26 +0000 IS2 16576@/talks/discussions Hi all,

I've been super on the fence between getting a Ronin M or a Zhiyun Crane. I think I'm leaning towards the crane because it's much more portable realistically enabling more shooting freedom.

I know I unfortunately won't be able to use my lovely Sigma 18-35mm due to the size, so was wondering - which lenses do you all use on your GH4/crane set up and for what scenarios?

Looking for Russian Lenses that would fully work on Leica M bayonet mount like for Leica M6 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/13400/looking-for-russian-lenses-that-would-fully-work-on-leica-m-bayonet-mount-like-for-leica-m6 Thu, 16 Jul 2015 09:56:13 +0000 gameb 13400@/talks/discussions Was researching about, which Russian Lenses would work fully on Leica M bayonet mount like for Leica M6. Some of them can be adapted with the M39 screw mount, but then would not focus right. And in the end I did not understand, which ones would really work. Which ones can connect to the Leica Rangefinder focus system. Jupiter 8, 9, 12? Anybody has some suggestions or has got some for sale?

D Mount Cine Lenses--Can they be adapted for use with modern cameras? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12514/d-mount-cine-lenses-can-they-be-adapted-for-use-with-modern-cameras Tue, 03 Mar 2015 15:53:11 +0000 Fujinonner 12514@/talks/discussions Hello,

So I know C mount lenses can be used for different modern/digital cameras with varying sensor sizes, as long as you have the right adapter. Can D mount lenses be used in a similar way? Or are they simply too small? Also, was wondering about M mount (Kodak Cine) lenses--can they be adapted for use with newer cameras?

Thanks for any insights!

For sale: SLR Magic cine 50mm T0.95 (based in Germany) http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/9675/for-sale-slr-magic-cine-50mm-t0.95-based-in-germany Thu, 20 Feb 2014 08:59:19 +0000 Tobsen 9675@/talks/discussions Hello,

I am considering to sell my great SLR Magic cine 50mm T0.95 (non RF coupled) in leica M mount. It is super sharp even wide open! Perfect if you own other SLR Magic lenses to complete a matched set. I used it only occacionally on private projects. It is basically in a new condition. It DOES have some tiny dust particles inside that were there even when it was brand new, but they don't affect the picture quality at all.

I am not giving it away for cheap, because it is a great lens. I still feel bad about selling it, but I need mone for other investments.Sadly.

I am asking 2000 Euro ecl. shipping for it. Official Sales price in Europe is 2399 pounds! Compared to the prices at SLR MAgic UK and other places, this is a bargain.

It will also include a 62mm Hoya UV FIlter. It doesn't come with original Box.

Here are some pics:

Meetup: Los Angeles Area http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7157/meetup-los-angeles-area Tue, 04 Jun 2013 15:47:28 +0000 vicharris 7157@/talks/discussions Ok, looks like we might have the meet up locked down here. Looks like we're going to be at Big Wangs at 801 SOUTH GRAND AVE. LA, CA 90017 (don't let the name fool you, it's not that bad) on the 13th of Jul at 1PM. They offered to let us have the patio which might be nice but if it's a little hot, I'm sure we can move it inside. I'll throw up some money for some appetizer trays and a couple pitchers of beer but by no means expect anyone else to. I know some wanted to hold this at different locations and possible have some sort of speaker or viewing but some of us think it's better just to have an initial meet and great, then if all goes well and there's enough combined interest, look into other events down the road. Here's a poll to get a real headcount for the business on the 13th. If you could take a min and let us know if you plan to show, that would be great and a huge help.

http://www.esurveyspro.com/App/Polls/DirectPoll.aspx?id=22904

In terms of transpo, like I said before, there's two lots right across the street that charge $6 on the weekends and @Shian said the Metro let's off a couple blocks away which is pretty convenient.

Like we said before, if anyone wants to bring some gear that others might be interested in trying, go ahead and let us know. I'll bring my SLR Magic Cine set and Rokinon Cine set, though I just did sell the 14mm to one of our guys here. Maybe he'll bring it if anyone wants to try it. Thanks again and see ya'll on the 13th of JUL!!

2 M LX and Rapressão http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/9110/2-m-lx-and-rapressao Mon, 16 Dec 2013 03:33:21 +0000 maxr 9110@/talks/discussions Hey PV's =)
Today I had to re-watch this video for sending it to someone it appears in it. Despite being shot with a 1/2.3" sensor, it's the grade I made for it that "saddens" me more; ok not a drama :P

As a more positive footnote recently I found Chullage in the subway. He's the guy responsible for the last music; the whole Rapressão (rap{re}pression) album is available for free download -- HERE. This music is a mix of folk portuguese resistance music legend Zeca Afonso (Eles comem tudo) and his own stuff. Chullage himself is an urban icon, was one of the first hip hop artists I listen when I came to Portugal and with no doubt the more social involved one - he runs several social / activist projects. This is second time I approach him, as I already offered my free services to him and his friends some years ago in an african social movements forum. Anyway, so this time I just wanted to tell him that I had used his music in the video and of course to thank him for making freely available. For my total surprise, Chullage said that he had watch the video and then with an open smille he said I´m not selling music anymore, from now on it's gonna be free • gashô

Second body to compliment GH2 - Eos M or else http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8262/second-body-to-compliment-gh2-eos-m-or-else Fri, 27 Sep 2013 21:41:24 +0000 cmountman 8262@/talks/discussions Hello

I have a GH2 with the following lenses:

Sigma 30mm F1.4 Sigma 18-50 F2.8 Panasonic 14mm and 20mm

I also have a Shneider 18-90 F2 lens which I am having made into a Four Thirds lens

I am looking for a cheap second body that will give me footage that will compliment the hacked GH2

I am unsure of which Panasonic Body with hack will best compliment the GH2

Also is the new G5 and G6 planned for hacks? If so they would be perfect choices?

I am also considering the Eos M with its f2 lens although I am concerned that the h.264 format is being replaced next year and if this will make this camera obsolete or if they will offer the new improved codec/format a firmware upgrade?

If anybody has any thoughts on this I would be grateful to know your opinions

GH3 is still too expensive

Thanks
