A travel video from Puglia, Italy, at a jazz festival and along the gorgeous Adriatic coastline. http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11814/a-travel-video-from-puglia-italy-at-a-jazz-festival-and-along-the-gorgeous-adriatic-coastline. Fri, 21 Nov 2014 05:26:45 +0000 PeterParkorr 11814@/talks/discussions I've been using my GH2 this summer for a european project with some other bloggers, tourist boards and Expedia.

This is the latest video, from a free Gregory Porter concert and some touring of the region. It's somewhere between a roadtrip film and a jazz festival report.

I wasn't really setup for capturing the concert in full, so some of my favourite shots came unexpectedly and weren't too steady. Time to invest in a steadicam obviously... but my editing has been getting better I think, so would be interested to hear what you think of the final product. I went quite heavy on the colouring at points to appeal to the instagram generation!

A train journey through India with my GH2 and no hack http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10263/a-train-journey-through-india-with-my-gh2-and-no-hack Sat, 26 Apr 2014 21:34:22 +0000 PeterParkorr 10263@/talks/discussions A video made with footage shot in April 2013 on a luxury train tour through Maharashtra.

Took me forever to edit wading through hundreds of clips! Second time I have used Magic Bullet Looks and first time using Warp Stabilizer in Premiere Pro CS6, lots of the footage was shaky because it was mostly filmed on a moving train (and my camera movement was pretty terrible at times but this was definitely a run/sprint and gun scenario).

Pretty happy with the outcome altho the laptop I coloured the film on is quite yellow it seems. Still not using a hack...

Magic Bullet Specific Grade http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11481/magic-bullet-specific-grade Sat, 04 Oct 2014 00:39:01 +0000 phillip4x 11481@/talks/discussions I came across this incredibly good grade and I've been trying to get something similar.
They use GH3, premiere cs6, and magic bullet looks. And I know that they shoot flat and underexposed.

Does anyone know how to get this grade with Magic Bullet Looks? I've tried raising shadows and lowering highlights then decreasing contrast but it doesn't look nearly similar to this. Please help, this is like a puzzle that's been driving me crazy!!

3 days reading Ibsen's Wild Duck in the street http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10485/3-days-reading-ibsens-wild-duck-in-the-street- Thu, 29 May 2014 08:37:45 +0000 maxr 10485@/talks/discussions

Je je, whatzup guys?!!!

These are some shots (through a 3 days span in February of 2013) badly put together registering an idea we had at A Empresa de Limpeza (Cleaning Business): to read Henrik Ibsen's Vildanden (Wild Duck) outside in the streets.

At some point there's a tiny bit of Mr Jonathan Coulton's - Your brains live in L.A.

Camera was a P&S and I tried to keep it simple while experimenting on new visual approaches; dumping everything into premiere and grading (or conspurcating like @Alienhead likes ,-) with colorista and looks. Plus parts with a lighter tweak of Eran Stern’s false hdr tonning technique. I want to apologize beforehand to @jpbturbo and people with good eye-coefficient for any inconvenience or damage :P

gashô

Some pics during the process +)

Online free training source, and some other questions? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6193/online-free-training-source-and-some-other-questions Wed, 20 Feb 2013 12:26:20 +0000 TravisBickle 6193@/talks/discussions I am looking for a good free online tutorials for color grading, because the most I saw were made by people who juste crush the blacks and make the yellowish highlights and blue shadows - trying to imitate Transformers? Are there any quality tutorials guides on this subject?

Also do you think that one should start with a simple color grading tool like Magic bullet Colorista/Looks or Color Finesse or move directly to more advance stuff like DaVinci Resolve. Also i heard some criticizm of Adobe Speedgrade, what is your take on that?

Do you need well lit scenes for color grading or can you grade scenes that are lit using only the sun?

What settings to use in post for Final cut pro X and After Effects??? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1270/what-settings-to-use-in-post-for-final-cut-pro-x-and-after-effects Mon, 24 Oct 2011 23:43:22 +0000 learrocket 1270@/talks/discussions
Then I edit my project. when I'm happy I want to send it to after effects to add some motion stabilizer and magic bullet looks cause FCPX can't handle looks yet. Now should I export it full size?? ok then I get it in AE C5.5 (this time the file was 1,8 Gb). I do my things but its extremely slow cause of the big file.

then I export it again and put it in FCPX again to add music and then I export it to vimeo (this time the file is 10,5 Gb?????).

I feel I'm not doing the right thing files are huge and the computer is suffering :).

would be nice if you (or someone) could describe a step by step how to do it!]]>
