I am a complete noob when it comes to anything sound related and I seem to be having a problem. I plug the cable from Line in to the adapter then the adapter into the GH2. The little microphone icon appears on the camera and it disables the onboard microphone however the left channel is stuck at 3 bars and the right channel is not changing at all. I get no sound from either the internal microphone or Zoom H1. I'm guessing it is the adapter.

Anyone had the same problem?

ZOOM H1 can`t sync http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/14668/zoom-h1-cant-sync Tue, 01 Mar 2016 11:00:54 +0000 Wilx 14668@/talks/discussions Hello, recently bought myself ZOOM H1 recorder. First I was happy as a clam but later I found that ZOOM skips sound and I cant sync it with video. Also it records very quiet + audio spectrum is very short so its hard to sync. What can I do? How to fix this problem? I even recorded video to show this problem -

Zoom H1 - Juicedlink CX231 - NTG2 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/13966/zoom-h1-juicedlink-cx231-ntg2 Tue, 20 Oct 2015 09:03:18 +0000 Matthijs 13966@/talks/discussions So I'm thinking about this setup since I've come across the JL preamp as a bargain. Yet I'm quite a beginner as it comes to sound.

The Juicedlink doesn't have headphones input. However, the Zoom H1 does. Can I monitor the sound via the Zoom then? And in which way will this be a reliable headphone output volume? Do I need special cables? Or ways to set the Juicedlink pre-amp?

Help will be appreciated

Matt

MJPEG FPS setting for Timelapse on GH2 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/595/mjpeg-fps-setting-for-timelapse-on-gh2 Fri, 05 Aug 2011 07:47:46 +0000 GH13Timelapser 595@/talks/discussions
It works by taking footage from a GH13 with the mjpeg frame rate changed to 2fps using ptool - it can stream copy the frames out and reassemble them losslessly - but more interestingly has interval/shutter settings that will blend frames together to simulate a longer interval/shutter as required. The frame blending has the added benefit of reducing low-light noise significantly.

I put together a demo here:

Here's the tool GH13Timelapser: http://timelapser.net/

I've had a few people contact me about using GH13Timelapser with a hacked GH2 but from what I can tell, the MJPEG fps setting hasn't been implemented in GH2 ptool - probably because it was deemed as not being useful (it has no purpose other than timelapse from what I can tell)

Is there any way to add MJPEG x/fps support for the GH2?]]>
Best gimbal for lightweight (mirrorless) cameras http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12643/best-gimbal-for-lightweight-mirrorless-cameras Thu, 19 Mar 2015 08:20:26 +0000 Manu4Vendetta 12643@/talks/discussions Between the current economic supports which would be the better choice?

I have seen videos where the Nebula 4000 its ok, another where are deficient. The Pilotfly H1 is in the same line of Nebula, preliminary tests are encouraging, but those videos are made by the manufacturer and dont know the conditions under which they were made, it is always see better user testing in the real world, but its very new. The third option is the Came Mini, but here the price is more expensive.

Help me to decide: Pilotfly H1 or Ipower 3-Axis http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12904/help-me-to-decide-pilotfly-h1-or-ipower-3-axis Fri, 01 May 2015 10:33:44 +0000 Manu4Vendetta 12904@/talks/discussions I need some inexpensive gimbal and Pilotfly H1 look like the best option for light cameras. The Ipower 3-Axis brushless gimbal its a very cheap option for U$498, but with few references. Virtually the 4000 Nebula is interesting, but seeing the tests isnt very convincing and in my country no stores that have these to test, so I have to choose the most suitable.

Im open to another options, but under U$700.

Thanks friends.

Zoom H1 vs Rode Videomic http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2095/zoom-h1-vs-rode-videomic Mon, 23 Jan 2012 18:59:33 +0000 sprinke 2095@/talks/discussions I'm just learning about this stuff, so be gentle with me, please.

Thinking about improving audio with my GH2. Originally I thought that for low-budget, okay, cheap (just a hobby for me), that the Rode Videomic would be a nice option.

Then I start reading here about audio recorders, and take a look at the Zoom H1. Seems pretty neat, and cheaper than the Videomic!

Now I wonder, why would anyone choose the Videomic over the H1, for a budget option? If I understand things correctly, the H1 offers more capability. You could mount it on the camera and run line-in to camera AND have headphone monitoring (with a splitter), or you could take it off the camera altogether for interviews, or attach a separate mic to it like a lav mic. Am I correct? Am I missing something?

Shock mount for external audio recorder http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4655/shock-mount-for-external-audio-recorder Fri, 21 Sep 2012 05:42:06 +0000 mrbill 4655@/talks/discussions I have a zoom H1. Has anybody seen a shock mount for this recorder (or similar) - along the same lines as the rubber band suspension mounts you can get for mounting a shotgun mic? Thanks.
