Panasonic Anamorphic adapter

Hello again! I am wondering about the right decision in choosing an anamorphic option. There are so many, that have become rareties in some respect. There is the Panasonic AG-LA7200 16:9 Anamorphic Lens Adapter, which is average price is 1000 dollars. Than we have a Century Precision adapter, which is harder to find, but a cheaper pick-up, that seems to provide intense flares. Now we also have the endless array of anamorphic projector lenses, adapted with lens clamps and such, that some say is better, and some say not so much. These include Kowa(which do look pretty nice sporting a 2x Anamorphic, ranging from 100 bucks to over 700, Isco-Optic focusing ana proj lens, and the Sankyoscope anamorphot 1.5x including a +0.5 diopter, focus through, which I haven't found for less than 1000 dollars, and I'm not sure how much the diopter will assist me, but anyhow there are many more, which I'm sure most are aware of. I am just hoping to get a little more insight into what the best and most effective options are.

GH2 strange behavior with 1080p 25fps

Hi All, I'm filming a music video this week-end, however I stumbled upon a veeeery strange behavior. Let me explain : I always shooted in HBR Pal mode (1080 25p wrapped into a 50i container). Usually I had to interpret my footage into adobe premiere in order to make them look right. (Premiere sees interlaced, I switch to progressive). Then all the mud disappear, and I got a clean image. (that's just a deep resolution gain, nothing to do with typical interlaced stripes artefacts)

However this time I have used my 45mm olympus and actually all footage filmed with this lens get WORSER when doing the interlaced to progressive switch. I got those horrible stripes typical from interlaced footage showing up ! (that's the reverse result as expected...) I don't understand, this is a unique behavior with that Oly lens...

Moreover, and unrelated from the previous problem, I got a serious aliasing issues with a pana 7-14 (NR set to -2). That's look digital, and straight lines and pattern looks a bit ugly... I had this with my 14-140 before but not as severe.

Any tips for getting a better image ?

GH_2 PTools problem

I am new to this whole process. I have modded only on PC's, never camera's. I have downloaded PTools as prompted. I have also tried several different settings redshift_v4, moon, apocolypse now, just to see if I could get to work. ptools doesn't recognize any of the files for uploading. The only one it does recognize is the -V103 which is supposed to emulate the original firmware. Please help! I think the Sanity 5 patch I bought the GH2 with is corrupted, because In video mode it's stuck in automatic. I can't change the ISO, or anything. Very strange. I find the GH2's firmware rather shoddy to begin with. If there are any really good firmware updates that you would recommend after the ptools issue is fixed, I would very much appreciate that as well.

Extended iso, bands across frame?

Total beginner here... I just hacked my GH2 and when using the extended iso there are dark stripes running horizontally across the frame, especially noticeable at 12800. Anyone else have this problem?

Here's a short video I just shot with my GH2vk using cbrandin's 66M settings:

I know this is far from a raw MTS file... I had to compress it to 90mb to make the file fast and easy to upload (the promotional nature of the video didn't leave me with much time - I needed to get this out the door ASAP). But, to me, this video shows how nicely the visual quality holds up.

Canon FD 50mm 1.4, set on f1.4, just a regular house lamp for light (with my V96 LED pointed at the back wall with a purple gel over it, to give you something to look at). 24p, highest quality settings on the cam.
