This new hack is based upon my personal Gop 1 development. But almost every single parameter has been adapted to match some original and extreme choices. I made all possible to get a neat and rich picture. It has been a step-by-step hard work. In particular the hbr mode was very difficult to manage. To tell the truth, I didn't touch the 1080i60 and 720p60 modes, which are taken by Apefos' The End patch.
I hope that somebody will find useful and beautiful our new used GH2.

1 Nvidia 980 Reference that is BNIB. The box isn't sealed but the card is. - $480

And 1 ZOTAC EXTREME AMP! Edition of the 970, which has had limited use in my computer and in fantastic condition. This is the first gen edition with the backplate and the 3 panel things, so they are rare to find for so cheap. It runs almost as fast as the 980's for half the price - $320.

Free shipping if you buy more than 1 item. Conus and Paypal only. Local pickup in Los Angeles will not have any paypal fees or whatever and I'm available all weekend.

problems with sandisk 32gb extreme pro sdhc http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10137/problems-with-sandisk-32gb-extreme-pro-sdhc Thu, 10 Apr 2014 14:02:11 +0000 rolanddd 10137@/talks/discussions I installed the flowmotion and then the driftwood moon hack, but whenever I try to record in the manual mode, which I guess is the mode pros are using, I get the "card is too slow" error and the camera just hangs. I actually had the same error with a 8gb extreme pro and switched to the 32gb one because I thought the 8gb one might be too small.

Would be very nice if somebody could help me out finding a solution. 24p mode works fine though most of the time.

I also tried both cards in two different GH2 models and got the same result (accidently bought two bodys).

edit: Is the 24p mode the one I should be using anyway, or are the hacks turning the manual mode also into shooting 24fps, I am a little confused by that to be honest.

thanks a lot!

95MB/s Sandisk Extreme Pro cards http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1491/95mbs-sandisk-extreme-pro-cards Fri, 18 Nov 2011 16:42:07 +0000 alcomposer 1491@/talks/discussions
@Jspatz reported earlier today that he was able to achieve spanning with @driftwoods SeAQuake on a 64GIG Sandisk Extreme Pro 95Mb/s. This is HUGE news!

UPDATE:
@SAGE
>Only the 64gb will work.

>Ed Lee confirmed that his 32gb 95MB/s failed to span. Its safe to assume that the 16 and 8 will perform likewise.
>Only the 64gb is labeled as 'SDXC'.

UPDATE 2nd Dec 2011:
@itimjim
>I can confirm that the card (95MB/s 64gig) spans with SeAQuake

Problems Sandisk Extreme Pro 32 GB class 10 95MB/s card on Panasonic GH3 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6832/problems-sandisk-extreme-pro-32-gb-class-10-95mbs-card-on-panasonic-gh3 Sun, 28 Apr 2013 13:25:05 +0000 Blanche 6832@/talks/discussions I tested my new memory card - a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32 GB class 10 95MB/s card. I was very surprised the camera mentioned I only had 0,5 hour of recording time - also when I re formatted the card twice. I was using the AVCHD mode 50 p 28 Mbps.

Same amount recording time, also when I switched to MP4 and Mov. I double checked the card on my notebook just to be sure they didn't place a wrong sticker - but it actually is 32 GB.

Then I tried some more cards and it's not the camera - it's this card. Have bought another card and it has the same problem here.

Then I tried resetting the whole camera to factory defaults - still the same problem. I made a recording of 0:30 hour and then checked the memory card on my macbook. It sais I have still 25,4 GB memory left. When I putted my card back into the GH3 it said I have again 30 minutes despite the fact that it told me earlier that it was full. Then I initialized the card again, getting again the 30 minutes. Shoot spent 60+ euro's spend on a 32 GB card that's runs so poor!

Hope somebody has an answer as I will have lots of problems returning these cards. Guess the card maker will blame Panasonic and vice versa.

Vanilla Hack Crashing Sandisk Extreme 95mb/s http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6649/vanilla-hack-crashing-sandisk-extreme-95mbs Tue, 09 Apr 2013 21:33:58 +0000 sesame2013 6649@/talks/discussions I applied the vanilla hack, tested it and was able to crash it reliably at 12000 ISO even when using the SanDisk Extreme PRo SDHC UHS-I Card 32GB. (Any rapid or semi rapid pan crashed it). I did some further testing (rapid pans at regular ISOs) and it seemed stable enough to bring on a shoot, so now I'm out in the field and it occasionally crashes at 160 ISO when dealing with complex outdoor scenery.

I'm confused and surprised that a card rated up to 95mb/s is crashing with a hack that is at 44mb/s??? Has anyone else experienced this? It also crashes on my older Transcend Class 10 16GB cards but not that much more frequently. Completely lame given the cost differential between these two cards.

I'm considering reverting back to baseline, but nervous to do so in the middle of a shoot (the vanilla hack was my first hack on the GH2 so this is still new to me). For now I'm working around it. Any advice or thoughts are appreciated.

GH2 in extreme cold weather http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2176/gh2-in-extreme-cold-weather Thu, 02 Feb 2012 09:39:58 +0000 TraumManufaktur 2176@/talks/discussions Does anyone have experiences with the GH2 in extreme cold conditions?

From the handbook: "0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F)"

I have a shoot Saturday and temperatures are said to reach -20 °C. Batteries of course will only last a 1/3 of rated time, and condensation may become an issue. Any tips on how to deal with this, like getting the camera to temperature gradually?

http://vimeo.com/groups/gh2/forumthread:249248 has this:

"D D 2 months ago I happily used mine last winter when it was worse than -10C, but I doubt the internals ever got down that far. I'd imagine the Panasonic specs relate to continuous core temperature and also have a small margin of tolerance. In the cold, it's often the battery that's first to fail to perform adequately rather than the electronics of the camera, or whatever. Keep your battery warm in a pocket and pop into the camera just for the shot. I've had cameras operate well below their published minimum in this way.

Besides keeping your batteries in a warm pocket, a couple of other good tips for taking pics in the extreme cold ... 1) For at least a couple of hours (the longer the better!) before going out into sub-zero temperatures, put the camera into one of those plastic zipper food bags with a couple of freshly recycled Silica Gel sachets. This removes the internal moisture and reduces the chance of condensation inside the camera/lens. 2) Take the bag and Silica Gel sachets with you. Before popping the camera back inside your jacket to keep it warm between shots, first take out the battery and keep warm in your pocket and put the camera back in the plastic bag. The humidity under your nice warm ski-jacket is really high! 3) Before returning into the warm indoors, remove the battery and memory card and put the camera back into the bag and leave in the bag until it has warmed up. This prevents condensation forming on the outside of the camera. The memory card has very little mass and not too subject to condensation . . . and you probably want to download pics/video without waiting for the camer to warm up - and, likewise get the battery on to recharge."
