I did a few searches and can see there are numerous topics scattered about, relating to Premiere Pro and Flow motion, but did not want to derail those ones as they are more focused on CS6 or Flowmotion Patch itself.

Been a while since I posted again.. Ive been experimenting with my GH2 a lot lately and have found that straight from the SD card into a Panasonic Plasma HD TV, the footage looks perfect. Then when I edit the footage together in Premiere Pro using import export settings recommended on EOSHD, I have trouble with distortion of image (graininess, low quality etc)

Can anyone suggest how to import the footage or how to set up my projects with which preset, and then suggest a custom export setting/preset that they work with using Premiere Pro CS5.5?

Basically, I use a standard GH2, hacked with Flowmotion V2.2, then a 95mbps SDXC card by Sandisk (64gb) Class 10.

In terms of my in camera settings I try to usually opt for Pal, in either HBR or Manual Movie Mode. Everything looks how I want it to when using my SD card into a friends TV as described before.

Thanks so much for any help I really appreciate all the advice I have received so far. I realise that when I have uploaded my footage to youtube and Vimeo it will be compressed somewhat but at the moment I just want to export the video at the highest possible quality so it ends up looking exactly how it did directly from SD card into TV.

Many Thanks again.

:)

AE CS5 as a simple timeline editor http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1932/ae-cs5-as-a-simple-timeline-editor Thu, 05 Jan 2012 04:27:01 +0000 stoney 1932@/talks/discussions
Currently I'm trying to use AE as the only editor. Importing, trimming, ripple insert, overlay insert, footage replacement, fading in/out effect, render queue, change default options, a lot of cool shortcuts, etc. All good except a few things.

RAM Preview was the only way to hear the sound, but it's so freaking slow to render. I have 8GB RAM. Anyone knows how to preview sound quickly? Launch external player? Increase RAM?

Once a MTS footage has been trimmed and inserted as a layer, is there a way to export the trimmed layer to DNxHD and automatically replace the content of the layer with the newly generated DNxHD file? This would shorten the transcoding process, save a lot of disk space, and fasten the color correction afterward.

When a layer's trim length changes, any easy way to ripple it to layers below it?

Thank you in advance.]]>

GH2 red interlace issue? Or is it a premiere cs5 issue? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1383/gh2-red-interlace-issue-or-is-it-a-premiere-cs5-issue Mon, 07 Nov 2011 09:15:47 +0000 RRRR 1383@/talks/discussions
I've found out a very strange phenomenon with gh2 footage in (at least) premiere cs5. The reds look interlaced (jagged) while everything else is normal. Iv'e found that the same footage looks better in VLC aswell. I've of course matched the sequence to the footage and it has occurred with several different camera settings - it becomes obvious only with strong reds.

I wonder if someone else have encountered a similar problem and if you have any suggestions as to why it happens? (possible solutions?)]]>
