Contax Zeiss 35mm f2.8 MMJ with Canon EF mount

In excellent, little used condition, complete with box, pouch etc. This is fitted with the high quality Leitax lens-mount adapter so it's good for a rock-solid fit to Canon EF mount cameras although this can be removed if you want to take it back to its original Contax/Yashica (C/Y) mount. £230GBP.

Hello camera nerds,

I need your help. I want to build a lens set from affordable but superb vintage lenses for cinematography. These 3 brands would be adapted via an passive adapter onto my Samsung NX1.

Focal lengths I am generally interested in: 24 or 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm

I'll need some experts opinion on which brand to go for. I don't know wether to go for Contax Yashica, Canon FD or Minolta vintage lenses so hit me up with your knowledge and recommendation. It is much appreciated.

Now, there´s certainly no rush here on my part right now but I´m looking to expand my c/y kit and I don´t want to bother with ebay. Optics need to be in really good condition but other than that I can be flexible, depending on the deal. If you have a snug fit c/y - ef adapter you need rid of, that too might be of interest... Hence, if you have any of the following / consider selling – please let me know (asking price also):

Good to very good condition (I'm quite cautious with my rating) and everything working fine. One minor quibble: the focus ring of the 50mm is not the softest (but on my other Contax 50mm that i keep it's exactly the same). I'll add two original Contax leather pouches for the 25mm and the 200mm.

Will go to Ebay soon and probably be split up to seperate lenses, but maybe someone here is interested in buying the whole set instead. Located in Berlin, Germany and asking €1000 plus shipping and paypal.

Glass is perfect with no noticable defects and the body only has one scuff near the focusing ring that can be seen. 50mm F1.4 Zeiss Planar

I have the Zeiss C/Y Mount 85mm f/1.4 from West Germany (with the ninja blade bokeh) and love it; it's probably the best lens I own. I'm deciding on the 50mm f/1.4 and want to know if there is much difference between the C/Y mount and recent ZF. The C/Y is much cheaper and if I'm using it mainly for the GH2 (or even on the 5D) why spend the extra money? Unless it's a better lens for some reason.

For sale my 1st child the 50mm 1.7 Carl Zeiss

I'm selling this lens because it has to make way for my new 50mm 1.4 Carl Zeiss, Beautifull sharpenss, the loved '3d' effect of Zeiss And ofcourse the near perfect colour rendering!

Glass has no marks, no scratches, no fungus, no dust no cleaning marks, simply clean! Cosmetical it has some wear, some number indicators are slightly marked, but nevertheless this is not a issue, you can still read the f-stops, and meterings.

Adapter to EF mount (EOS) and it's suitable for Fullframe, and all other canon dSLR's, note that this also works on Nikon fullframe, Nex 5,6,7 Gh1,2,3 and ofcourse the soon to come Black magic cinema camera.

I've got a question, do the fellow filmmakers here have any experience with the G series of Carl Zeiss (Contax Yashica - mount)

I've been working with the normal Contax Carl zeiss series for over a 2 years.

And i was wondering if anyone here ownes any of these G lenses and have any test samples, or comparing samples vs other lenses!

I'm getting conflicting results. I just bought a manual Contax Zeiss lens. I don't need the focusing mechanism on the adapter, I'm guessing. So, what is the most solid for the $?

I recently acquired a couple of lenses and decided to let them out of the bag.

Had less than an hour's coverage, shot with an unhacked GH2.
