Foxconn buys 9 percent stake in GoPro for $200 million (Engadget)

Hon Hai Precision, better known as Foxconn, is already the world's largest electronics manufacturer. Chances are if you've got a laptop, console or smartphone it was assembled in one of the company's many Chinese factories. The giant has also gotten quite cozy with Sharp, with an eye towards investing directly in the LCD market, though no deal has been made official. Now the company is dipping its toes in the camera business, by purchasing an 8.88-percent stake in GoPro for $200 million.

Hon Hal (better known as Foxconn, or the iPhone's manufacturer), could become a big retail name brand just any time it has a mind to do so - ang go on to out-compete Sony, Samsung or even Apple.

Watch this space. The Tiger hasn't roared, just given a low-throated rumble.

Office Space

Do some of you guys have your own Office Space doing multimedia/filming? I'm looking at getting a modest office and making it a creative hub. Any advice/experiences you can pass on to me with getting the right place? I think i have the bases covered but maybe i'm overlooking something. I'm considering a place at the moment. Thanks.

In The City - Skyscrapers and busy business streets footage required for Music Video

This is an urgent request. We need this in the next 24 hours as weve had a late 'idea' for projecting city images for a vid shoot.

Does anyone have any small clips of cityscapes or busy business streets video clips they can let me use to project onto the faces of a band music video I am doing? I am looking to gather major cities of the world whther they are overview, low wide angle, timelapse or anything that includes skylines, tall buildings and bust CITY work areas - people going to work in rush hour etc...?

Anything considered. Of course theres no money in it but you will recieve a produiction credit if footgae is used. So please scour your back catalogue for ANYTHING remotely good looking.

Anyone with material should contact me on driftwood.brighton@gmail.com with a link to the footage that I can download. It doesnt have to be massively high resolution, compressed is good enough.

Any camera, any setting, its the images we need.

Shot a video for upcoming rapper b@mbi at lil hollywood
we used his green screen.
The chick wanted these weird backgrounds with flashing lights and disco balls

i finished the video. Sent it to her and she hasnt replied but the video sucks. I didnt even put my name on it. If given my freedom i would have not used the backgrounds and did something else. Which i told her. But she insisted so i gave her what she wanted.

What do you guys do when the person paying you wants some wack sh** and wont listen to your suggestions?
