Reference mini active speakers topic

I cannot find anything that convinces me. Klein & Hummel MM 201 or M 52, Genelec 6010, Avantone Pro, Audioengine etc. are great but are "too big" for what I want. I am looking for something really small, portable, like the Ucube (80mmx80mm), but when I listened to them in the shop, I was disappointed. I only need a decent reference, so I don't have to edit with the sound coming from the MBP13 or the headphones. Appreciate suggestions.
