Canon going full force with action cams in declining DSLR market.

This seems to be overlooked in the latest financial report from Canon:

They are going to expand heavily in the water proof and outdoor camera market. "For situations where your smart phone have difficulty."

I.e. they will be a direct competitor to i.e. GoPro.

This cam is pretty cool. IMX 117 Sony sensor (used on GoPro 3) and true 4k30p , as well as a load of other good framerates. It supposedly has the same shape as the gopro and is therefore compatible with all accessories. Adding a 36$ 90°FOV lens, and some higher bitrates, this thing is a brilliant bang for the buck! Anyone have any experience with it?

Compact Powerbank solution for actioncam?

As a new owner of an EKEN H8 Plus Actioncam I am now looking to extend its 50min battery life to survive a whole concert. What I love about these cams is the compact form factor, So I would hate to have to somehow glue a powerbank to the mic-stand that I normally use to mount the actioncam behind the drummer. Any interesting, perhaps mountable external battery solutions out there that connect to the micro usb? This cam has the GoPro Form factor, but not the proprietary battery connector.
