Adapting very old sigma canon lens to Sony a6500?

I recently snatched the Sigma High Speed Wide ASPHERICAL 28mm 1.8 for a very good price. It is made for old canon cameras from the analog age. Tried adapting it to my a6500 with the viltrox adapter. No electronic connection. Will now try a non-focal-reducing adapter by commlite. Are there any other speedbooster options out there except for metabones? maybe one with a built in aperture?

I've had the gimbal for two months, and it is absolutely in like new condition. I am only missing the manual to the Two Hand Holder. Everything else is there. Total run time is about 30 minutes. I really only film my family for home videos. The reason I am selling is because I have moved to smart phone gimbals as it's a better fit for me personally.

1000$ camera... what is the best choice (mainly for video)?

a6300: Passive Cooling Idea to fix Overheating issue

Did anyone try this? I Just had this idea. Just sandwich a thermal pad between the a6300 and the battery grip, using the pressure to transfer the body heat to the pad, which in turn dissipates the heat through some small ram heatsinks. I think this might actually work. Removable, silent, cool. Does anyone have the stuff lying around to try it? :)
