What do folk use? Anything 'designed' for camera rods is overpriced. What is out there as an alternative? Thinking along lines of 15mm copper pipe clips....
Can you show that you have in mind?
You can use a 3D printed. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:497750
If you don't have a 3d printer, depdending on the size/weight of the cables, you could just use the twisty things that come on loaves of bread.
https://www.djkit.com/gravity-stands/gravity-sacc-35-b-cable-clips.html These would be perfect in 15mm size.
I use BongoTies, love them:

How about something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cablesson-Reusable-Releasable-Hook-and-Loop-Nylon-Velcro-Cable-ties-pack-of-10/391631430193
Was thinking that if there would be similar product, but the backside would be rubbery to prevent sliding, and the whole thing would be a little bit elastic so you would get it really tight, it would be optimal product.
EDIT: Actually I found that kind of product but the price is little bit on the salty side: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Elastic-Velcro-Fishing-Rod-Wrap-Tie-Twin-Pack/181627170169
EDIT2: But found cheaper option https://www.ebay.com/itm/2PCS-Fishing-Rod-Pole-Tie-Elastic-Tool-Fastening-Strap-Belt-Wrap-Holder-Outdoor/332480685749
There was a guy on youtube ca. 2013 who showed using a silver metal clip from home electrical installations. I think it was DSLR film Noob or DSLR Video shooter. The clips looked like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-7-8-Conduit-Clip-for-Mini-Bike-Go-Cart-Throttle-Cable/141895465812?hash=item2109a0fb54:g:LOEAAOxyJ59RHDou
https://www.ebay.com/itm/251-CONDUIT-CLIP-3-4-CLAMP-ON-Lot-of-10-/281840574247?hash=item419f01df27
They are electrical conduit clips. Looks like they are ~$1 each when you buy 10. You may find them at a better price elsewhere as
3/4" (251) conduit clamp (clip) -This size is better for a 15mm rod
7/8" (252) conduit clamp (clip)
Maybe with checking at a local electrical supply house, they look like they should cost $0.10 (10 cents) max.
They need to be bent a little for a 15mm rod, you could also dip them in plasti-dip or put heat shrink on them for a rubberized finish.
This plastic one looks interesting but the web page isn't responding:
I had been thinking about these as well, so you have set me off on a hunt. My local electrical supply had never seen these clips, so bought some of the #251 ¾" off eBay. It's more of a small engine/lawnmower repair item. The #251 clips are ca. $0.59 - $1.00 each (before shipping): https://www.mfgsupply.com/3-251.html https://www.wnysmallengines.net/CONDUIT-CLIP-3-4-CLAMP-ON-251.htm https://www.ombwarehouse.com/dual-7-8-conduit-clip.html
