Mordor: Fears and trembling

    The Russians told about their main fears during the pandemic. This is reported by TASS with reference to a sociological survey prepared by the Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE).

    According to the study, 37 percent of the country's residents are afraid of losing their jobs amid the coronavirus epidemic. More than 20 percent of those surveyed said they fear that they will no longer be paid salaries and pensions.

    At the same time, it is noted that due to the containment of inflation and the recovery of the financial sector, fewer Russians are worried about the rise in prices. Thus, only 17 percent of respondents noted that the main economic risk is the rise in prices for regularly purchased goods and services. In 2020 main food prices rose from 10 up to 75% while salaries plunged 10% on average. Most of the difference had been covered with new credits as the continue exponential rise.

    So, if socialism and capitalism are all the same as some strange guys like to post here, how many percentage of people had same main 3 fears in 1985? It was zero.

    More than a third of Mordor slaves (38 percent) found it difficult to buy refrigerators or televisions, citizens have enough money only for cheap junk food and Chinese clothing.

    What happens to income

    For 15 percent of the respondents, incomes decreased by more than 21 percent, for 8 percent they fell by 11-20 percent, for another 9 percent - by 5-10 percent. At the same time last year only 7 percent of the study participants reported a decrease in their income.
