Google Chrome and attack on URLs

    Google is experimenting with showing domain names only in Chrome’s address bar instead of full URLs. The feature will be tested in the upcoming Chrome 86 release, with Google hoping the change could protect users against scams and phishing attacks using misleading URLs.

    Only idiot do not understand why it is being done.

    Google want you not to remember or use URLs and instead use their search to go to any place you want. Favourites also will do as they are sent to Alphabet servers and being sold to many partners while being directly attached to your person (via phone number, MAC and so on).
