War: South Korea is first who will hurt Apple and Google
    • The South Korean National Assembly has passed legislation amendments that threaten the dominance of tech giants over how apps on their platforms sell their digital goods. Once signed by President Moon Jae-in, it will become law.

Amendments are being made to South Korea's Telecommunications Business Law, which prohibits large application market operators from requiring the use of their own payment systems to purchase applications. The law also prohibits operators from unreasonably delaying the moderation of apps or unreasonably removing them from stores.

My personal opinion is that corporations are ready for such laws and formally they will meet them but in reality nothing much will change.

During this period, the number of orders almost quadrupled, to 118 million units.

In a similar way, the volume of this segment was estimated by INFOLine: according to its version, food sales on the Internet increased 2.5 times, to 150 billion rubles.

In the first half of 2021, the average check for online orders decreased by 26%, to RUB 1,260, DataInsight states. The company's analyst Olga Pashkova attributes this decline to the rapid growth of such fast delivery services as Samokat and Yandex.Lavka.

The leader of traditional retail - X5 Group (Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Karusel chains) - the average check in the first half of the year remained practically unchanged, amounting to 434.1 rubles. In the first half of 2021, X5 Group sales from digital businesses (Perekrestok Vprok, express delivery, 5Post) amounted to just over RUB 21 billion. without VAT.

Only X5 is serious player here, all other are intermediaries and are just loosing money. None of them will survive next 2 years.

War: China limits to 3 hours a week time spend on games for anyone younger than 18
    • China will ban minors from playing games for more than three hours per week. Holidays are an exception. The government will impose the strictest controls on youth entertainment, hitting the world's largest mobile gaming arena.

Gaming platforms, from Tencent to NetEase, can now only offer online games to minors between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Fridays, weekends and holidays. The state news agency Xinhua reported this on Weibo, citing a notice from the National Press and Publication Bureau.

The new rules, which limit teenagers' playing time to three hours a week, will replace those established in 2019 (then the limit was 1.5 hours a day).

Minors are only part of their business, especially after the recent restrictions, according to Tencent and other Chinese companies. For example, the country's largest gaming company said that revenue from minors is less than 3% of its gross gaming revenue in China.

      Superb.

    China: Left turn continues
    • A Chinese state-controlled business media outlet, reported that President Xi had "stressed that common prosperity is an essential requirement of socialism" and called for "its advancement" while also "pursuing high-quality development" during the Aug. 17 meeting of the Central Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs.

Caixin also explained how the CCP is already implementing President Xi's vision for a more egalitarian (financially speaking, at least) society. The recent changes are related to school districts, after-school tutoring, property tax pilot programs and an expansion of anti-trust enforcement and other measures to tackle "reckless capitalism".

Because of the rapid growth, China is facing a wealth inequality crisis.

The high cost of urban living has contributed to a sharp slowdown in births, prompting China this year to allow families to have up to three children instead of two.

If you ask me - crackdown on small and medium business owners and big companies managers is a must, they must have their salaries cut by 5-10 times.
