The European Commission has sent Google a request to remove Russian state media results for searches performed in countries within the EU. As The Washington Post reports, Google has uploaded a letter from EU officials to a database of government requests. In it, the officials explain how the commission's official order to ban the broadcast of RT and Sputnik in the European Union also applies to search engines and internet companies in general.

The Chinese army is ready to take decisive action to protect national sovereignty in connection with the aggravation of the Taiwan issue. This was reported today, March 10, by TASS with reference to Xinhua news agency.

According to the agency, such a statement was made at the parliamentary session in Beijing by a representative of the delegation of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) and the People's Armed Police (an analogue of the internal troops) Wu Qiang.

"The more the United States and Japan make waves on the Taiwan issue, the tougher we will take to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said. Wu Qiang emphasized that the Chinese military will never tolerate separatist actions to realize Taiwan's independence and foreign interference in China's internal affairs. He noted that the related exercises and combat training of the PLA are in no way directed against Taiwanese compatriots.

"The actions of the Taiwan Democratic Progressive Party administration and their collusion with outside forces are the main cause of the current tension and turmoil in the Taiwan Strait," Wu Qiang said. The Taiwan issue is an internal affair of China that does not tolerate external interference, the PLA spokesman concluded.

"Some sites may not open now. This is due to problems in the work of certification centers that check the security and reliability of Internet resources. In order to have access to all sites and necessary online services, including public services, we recommend installing browsers that support Russian certificate," the ministry said in a message sent to users of the State Services.

It clarifies that "now such functionality is available, for example, in Yandex.Browser or Atom."

The Atom browser was developed by Mail.ru Group (now VK), it is a browser with VK Connect synchronization.

On March 4, the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced that regulations would soon be adopted to regulate the work of the national certification center for the free issuance of TLS certificates to Russian legal entities, which will help users maintain secure access to sites that have had their TLS revoked. TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a cryptographic protocol for organizing secure communications on the Internet.

The department clarified that it will be possible to obtain a TLS certificate on the State Services portal in a completely remote mode. All browsers and operating systems will have to support the operation of TLS certificates on sites that receive them, and a complete list of domains for which certificates have been issued can be seen on the State Services portal.

Google and Firefox are expected to block SSL enabled access to key government and banks sites by manipulating certification centers and revoking certificates.
