Nvidia is planning to drop support for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 later this year. Nvidia drivers will be exclusively available for Windows 10 in October, with only critical security updates available on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 through September 2024.

It is interesting that Nvidia top management and leading managers even have no idea where to spend huge money they got this year by promoting and supporting crypto scam and participating is shady schemes of reselling cards to big miners with huge margins that reached 2000-3000% to production cost.

Whole Windows 7-8.1 team had been less than 8 people and they even was not exclusive, it is one of their tasks but not only one.

War: US billionaires don't pay taxes and have ties with IRS http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/25732/war-us-billionaires-dont-pay-taxes-and-have-ties-with-irs Wed, 09 Jun 2021 23:55:54 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 25732@/talks/discussions

SpaceX founder Elon Musk earned $13.9 billion from 2014 to 2018 and paid $455 million, which is 3.27 percent tax rate. In 2018, Musk paid no taxes at all.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos made $99 billion and paid $4.33 billion over the same four years - his tax rate was just 0.98 percent. And in 2007 he also did not pay income tax.

Warren Buffett evades payment the most. According to Forbes, his fortune grew by $24.3 billion between 2014 and 2018. During this time, Buffett paid $23.7 million (!) in taxes, less than ten cents for every $100 he earned.

When asked by journalists, Warren Buffett, Michael Bloomberg and Carl Icahn, who are involved in the investigation, replied that they paid as much taxes as they saw fit to pay.

Biden administration started serious investigation, but not against richest criminals, but against journalists and their sources of information. As most of tax evasion in US happens due to private agreements between largest companies and richest people with IRS. As IRS close the eyes on obvious criminal schemes and offshore dealings.

Good quote: On Apple and monopolies http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/25731/good-quote-on-apple-and-monopolies Wed, 09 Jun 2021 13:32:46 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 25731@/talks/discussions

In order to accumulate some capital, producers need a quasi-monopoly. Only if they have it can they sell their products at prices significantly higher than production costs. In a system with real competition, there can be no profit. Real profit requires the restriction of the free market, that is, quasi-monopoly.

However, quasi-monopoly can be established only under two conditions:

  1. A product is an innovation for which there is (or can be induced) a sufficiently large number of buyers who are ready to purchase it.
  2. One or more powerful states are ready to use their power in order to prevent other manufacturers from entering the market (or at least restrict it).

In short, quasi-monopoly can exist only if the market is not “free” of state participation.

War: China slowly starts left turn http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/25729/war-china-slowly-starts-left-turn Wed, 09 Jun 2021 08:35:12 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 25729@/talks/discussions

It was recently approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration of Market Supervision, Food and Reserves Bureau and other 6 departments jointly issued and implemented. In order to do a good job of implementation, on June 8, the National Development and Reform Commission held a national video conference...

The meeting pointed out that the Party Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the price control of important livelihood commodities. In recent years, the price control mechanism for important livelihood commodities has been continuously improved, and remarkable results have been achieved in the work of ensuring supply and stabilizing prices. However, the production, supply, storage and sales of important livelihood commodities have a long chain, many links, and a wide range of coverage. The characteristics of "small production and large market" are prominent. In the face of natural disasters, market risks, and emergencies, prices are prone to rise and fall. It is necessary to speed up the improvement of the price control mechanism of important livelihood commodities, continuously improve the ability to maintain supply and stabilize prices, effectively resolve the impact of livelihood commodity supply and price fluctuations on people’s lives, better meet the people’s growing needs for a better life, and effectively enhance the people’s sense of gain, sense of happiness and security.

Production, distribution, consumption and other links, give full play to the role of government, market, society, etc., use economic, legal, administrative and other means to improve the ability and level of price control, and effectively guarantee the effective supply of important livelihood commodities and the overall stability of prices.

The meeting also analyzed the current and future price situation, made comprehensive arrangements for this year’s work to ensure the supply and price stabilization of important livelihood commodities, combined with the improvement of the price control mechanism of important livelihood commodities, and focused on key points such as corn, wheat, edible oil, pork, and vegetables. Promote the effective connection of production, supply, storage, and sales. At the same time, we will actively do a good job in the regulation of the bulk commodity market, strengthen market supervision, and make every effort to ensure sufficient supply of important people’s livelihood commodities and basically stable prices.

Nod so bad.

Their present view is that we have special operation made by US and their Taiwan puppets, Japan also helps by limiting some chemical supplies and equipment.

Main goal for now is to wipe out lot of small to medium firms, lot of them Chinese, making stuff that uses chips (almost all usual and high tech stuff).

All big corporations, instead, are working on long hard contracts and situation is normal.

Auto industry issues are orchestrated as goal is to reduce gasoline powered cars production, chips are just pretense.

Lead time is constantly increasing, same as the prices even on simplest chips.

Chinese manufacturers now expect new huge impacts on Chinese chip industry, as now suppliers won't be just simply go out and buy similar chips outside.
