When Does Tarantino Think Real Movies Ended?

On a list of important filmmakers of our era, Quentin Tarantino ranks near the top. He sprung out of a video store and thrust some of the best movies upon us. Over the last 30+ years, Tarantino has become a household name. He's brought us into his life, and we've seen cinema through his eyes. Now, as he prepares to make his tenth and final film, Tarantino has gotten reflective on whether or not movies even exist anymore. Let's dive into Tarantino's recent comments. While being interviewed at the Sundance festival, Tarantino brought up the idea of his final film, stating he probably won't make it until his kids are older because they'd have to travel to America to do it, and he wants them to be old enough to understand why that's happening. Currently, he's writing a play, which he says, if it becomes a smash hit, could be adapted into his last movie. But when it came to the idea of movies in general, Tarantino changed the tone of the conversation. He said, “That’s a big fucking deal pulling [a play] off, and I don’t know if I can. So here we go. That’s a challenge, a genuine challenge, but making movies? Well, what the fuck is a movie now? What — something that plays in theaters for a token release for four fucking weeks?
