Tokina Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro Announced

Tokina has introduced the Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro, a new version of the original Tokina Cinema 100mm Macro, in Vista form. The lens has an area of definition of 46.7mm, covering full-frame and Vista Vision sensors, and it is a 1:1 macro with a minimum focus distance of 30cm/11.9 in, making it a blend between telephoto and macro lenses.  Tokina, the Japanese lens manufacturer creator of the Tokina Vista series, has updated their Cinema 100mm lens with the release of a new version that covers Vista Vision sensors. The new Cinema Vista 100mm T2.9 Macro comes in a metal body and features a nine-blade iris for smoother bokeh. The lens has a T2.9 stop and an in-built threaded lens support for increased stability. The geared focus and iris rings are dampened, with a long focus throw for better accuracy. Tokina claims the lens offers minimized lens breathing.  The lens has a minimum focus distance of 30cm/11.9 in. – Source: Tokina.
