SmallRig has just released three camera cages for the Nikon Z 6III: a regular cage, a “Night Eagle” higher-end version, and a cage for using the Z 6III with the optional MB-N14 grip. All cages are made of aluminum, feature three locking points to secure the camera firmly, have a built-in Arca-Swiss quick-release plate at the bottom, and have plenty of 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting points. So, let’s take a closer look at these! With impressive recording capabilities such as 6K60P N-RAW internal recording without any crop of the full-frame sensor, ProRes RAW HQ and ProRes 422 HQ internal recording at up to 6K30P, and 4K120P recording capabilities, there are little doubts that the Nikon Z 6III will be a popular mirrorless camera amongst filmmakers.
