SIRUI Optical Joins the Micro Four Thirds System Standard Group

OM Digital Solutions just announced that SIRUI is joining the Micro Four Thirds (MFT) system standard group, and they will support this standard with the upcoming release of their new lenses. In total, 61 companies, including those focused on B2B operations, currently support the MFT system. Much has been talked about the future of the Micro Four Thirds system in the last few years, with an open debate about its sustainability. The reasoning behind it was that the growing market of full-frame cameras has made the prices drop to the point that some MFT cameras are now more expensive than some full-frame models. Also, the difference in size has disappeared with the release of small full-frame models. As we could confirm in our recent poll, the system is still relevant to many users and seems to be safe and growing with the incorporation of new brands like SIRUI. The Micro Four Thirds system was established in 2008 by Olympus and Panasonic. By joining the system, new products will be added to the Micro Four Thirds lineup in the future with the participation of SIRUI, providing new optical lenses and other products that support shooting for filmmakers.
