Meike 85mm f/1.4 AF full-frame lens for Nikon Z-mount review by John Hall (product page): This lens arrived well-packed in a box padded with foam. It included a hood and two lens caps. As a f1.4 lens, it is nice and fat to let lots of light through to your sensor. At 735g this is not a lightweight lens. This is a full-frame lens and works well on DX bodies, too, as a 127.5 equivalent. The filter thread is 77mm and it will focus at less than a meter. It mounted smoothly. The focus and aperture rings turn easily and then stay where you put them. Autofocus works well and the lens has a button to freeze focus. Though an 85mm lens is generally considered to be great for portrait photography, its usefulness extends way beyond that. My main interest lately has been macros so I wanted to see how this lens would perform with extension rings. Extension rings do not in any way affect image quality, they simply allow for closer focus while making the image on the sensor appear larger. My first test was to take a shot of my shoe while standing. That was good and confirmed that I could focus on anything a meter or more away. Next I added 36mm of extension rings and caused the lens to focus at 9″. I went spider and bug hunting and got excellent results.
