The new Portkeys PT5 III is a 5.4-inch touchscreen on-camera monitor with a 1080p screen and MOVNORM OS with monitoring features. The monitor has HDMI in/out, 3.5mm jacks for headphones and microphone, USB-C PD, and an NP-F plate. The lightweight and compact PT5 III is available now for $169. The Chinese monitor manufacturer based in Shenzhen is releasing multiple new models this year. A few weeks ago, during the NAB show, we briefly looked at the company’s latest 7″ model – the LS7P. Now, Portkeys releases another affordable monitor, this time with a 5.4-inch display. Let’s take a short look at the new Portkeys PT5 III. PT5 III monitor. Peak brightness is 800 nits, a contrast ratio is 1000:1, and it has a wide 178° viewing angle. Because most of the controls happen via the touchscreen UI, the monitor only has three physical switches – one on/off button, a switch to lock the screen, and a battery release button.
