Panasonic LUMIX S5II, S5IIX, and G9II Firmware Update Adds LUMIX Lab Support and More

The latest Panasonic firmware update adds new features to LUMIX S5II, S5IIX, and G9II cameras, such as support for the LUMIX Lab app, new 5GHz wi-fi frequency band option, support for the new XLR unit, or LEICA Monochrome photo style. The updates will be available free of charge from October 9, 2024. With today’s announcement, the Japanese camera manufacturer Panasonic has improved quite a few of their mirrorless cameras. In this article, I will focus on firmware updates for the LUMIX S5II, S5IIX, and G9II. Panasonic LUMIX S5II, S5IIX, and G9II firmware updates The new firmware updates add the same features to all three cameras (with the exception of the LEICA Monochrome photo style). The new firmware versions are numbered as follows: Panasonic LUMIX S5II – firmware version 3.1 Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX – firmware version 2.1 Panasonic LUMIX G9II – firmware version 2.2 Both LUMIX S5II and S5IIX will now offer the LEICA Monochrome photo style.
