According to reports online, Nikon has officially filed an application for a “Z Cinema” trademark. Now, this could mean a lot of things, including perhaps nothing at all. However, it also could signal that Nikon might be planning to launch a new cinema camera brand and bring an end to RED Digital Cinema.Ever since Nikon acquired RED Digital Cinema last year, we knew something like this might eventually be in the cards for the brands.
