Chinese lighting manufacturer NANLUX has announced the Evoke 5000B, a 5000W bi-color LED spotlight that promises output levels comparable to traditional high-powered movie lights. This IP66-rated fixture integrates several features aimed at professional motion picture lighting, including full-color temperature control and green/magenta adjustment capabilities. Credit: NANLUX Technical specs and light output NANLUX states the output approaches that of a 9kW HMI or 24kW tungsten light, supported by their newly developed Nebula B4 Light Engine. This proprietary system combines four types of white light chips to deliver a color temperature range of 2700K-6500K with ±80 Green/Magenta adjustment – a feature set previously unavailable in LED fixtures of this power class. Color accuracy specifications include CRI/TLCI values of 97/98 and TM-30 Rf/Rg averages of 96/102. The unit maintains these values across its dimming range, which extends down to 0.1% brightness. A notable addition is the High-Speed Mode, which switches from PWM to DC operation for flicker-free performance at frame rates exceeding 10,000fps.
