Leica and Panasonic have recently signed a new comprehensive business alliance that will result in the development of the new L² Technology. According to the two companies, this will bring several technological advancements for both Leica and LUMIX imaging systems. You can say, Leica and Panasonic have been friends for a long time. Indeed, the two companies started working together on developing innovative lens and camera technology back in the early 2000s, right at the beginning of the digital era. Their mutual esteem seems to keep passing the test of time. In 2018, along with SIGMA, they gave birth to the “L-mount Alliance”. Joined by Leitz towards the end of 2021, this partnership made the Leica L-Mount system available to the other manufacturers of the pact.
