Godox has released the KNOWLED MG6K, a high-power LED light designed for professional film lighting applications. According to the company, the MG6K produces light output exceeding 6kW HMI while consuming 4,300W of power. Godox is a Chinese manufacturer that has been creating photo/video/monitor/audio solutions since 1993. Initially focused on providing affordable studio lighting for photographers, Godox has since expanded their offerings to include more high-end solutions for filmmakers like the Godox BeamLight Max90 Modifier. In general, it seems as if the competition on the higher end light spectrum and similar price bracket is warming up. It features color temperature adjustment from 2800K to 10,000K and green/magenta adjustment of ±100%. When used with the MGR30 reflector, the MG6K provides 41,000 Lux at 5600K from a five-meter distance. The MGR15 reflector produces 132,000 Lux under the same conditions.
