DJI released new firmware updates for its latest one-handed gimbals DJI RS 2 and RSC 2. The new update brings support for the DJI Ronin 3D Focus System on the RS 2, Support for remote control for various cameras (including the new Sony a7S III, a7C, Canon EOS C70 and more), optimized ActiveTrack, and DJI RavenEye. The firmware updates can be downloaded free of charge from the DJI website. The new generation of one-handed gimbals from DJI has been announced last month. Let’s take a look at what is new. DJI RS 2 Firmware Update The larger DJI RS 2 which is able to carry a tested dynamic payload of 10 lbs (4.5 kg) just got a new firmware v01.02.00.30. According to DJI, it adds the following features: Added support for DJI Ronin 3D Focus System when DJI RS 2 is used with the DJI Ronin Focus Motor, which enables autofocus for manual lenses. The Ronin 3D focus system must be purchased separately, however.Added Dolly Zoom. To use this feature, the DJI RS 2 must be used with the DJI Ronin Focus Motor.
