The previously reported rumors were true – Zeiss will announce mirrorless versions of their high-end Otus lens line. Zeiss had four Otus models for F-mount: Otus 28mm f/1.4 ZF.2 Otus 55mm f/1.4 ZF.2 Otus 85mm f/1.4 ZF.2 Otus 100mm f/1.4 ZF.2 For the 2025 CP+ show in Japan, Zeiss will introduce at least two new Zeiss Otus ML mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z-mount (see first sample photos): Zeiss Otus ML 50mm f/1.4 for Z mount (£2,100) Zeiss Otus ML 85mm f/1.4 for Z mount (£2,350) Here are the leaked details (click for a larger view): This is an interesting move becuase 5 years ago, Zeiss was in a different situation – this was their answer to a question about Zeiss lenses for Nikon Z cameras: “The mechanical dimensions of the Z-mount are also protected by international licenses.
