Blackmagic Video Assist 3.7 Update Released – Adds BRAW for FUJIFILM X-H2S

Blackmagic Design has recently released an update for their 5 and 7” 12G HDR external monitors/recorders. Among a few other enhancements, the Blackmagic Video Assist 3.7 Update introduces support for Blackmagic RAW recording from the newly-released FUJIFILM X-H2S. The update is now available free of charge. Almost a month ago, FUJIFILM released their APS-C flagship camera, the X-H2S. This new model packs a lot of advanced features in its compact body, such as the ability to record Apple ProRes HQ/422/LT internally in 6.2K at up to 30fps. Moreover, the camera has a full-size HDMI that makes it possible to record 12-bit ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW with an external recorder. Now, the Blackmagic Video Assist 5” and 7” 12G HDR are receiving an update that makes them capable of recording Blackmagic’s proprietary RAW format from the FUJIFILM X-H2S.
