While many people seem to have just learned his name with Anora, Academy Award-winning director, writer, producer, and editor Sean Baker has been making movies for twenty-five years. I thought it would be beneficial to go through all of his movies so you can check them out when you have the time.Let's dive in. Four Letter Words (2000)Baker's directorial debut offers a raw look at the perspectives and language of young men in suburban America. This movie reminds me of...me. Prince of Broadway (2008)In a very contemporary take on fatherhood, a street hustler in New York City discovers he has a son. This movie sort of solidified Baker as a fearless traveler of the underworlds we never knew existed. Starlet (2012)I remember the buzz of this movie. It was the first Baker movie I saw, and it follows the unlikely friendship between a young woman and an elderly woman. What struck me was the tenderness of the camera and how much you could tell he cared about the characters.
