7Artisans Photoelectric Sprite 24-96mm T2.9 is a cine zoom lens that covers Super35 sensors and comes with either a Canon EF or ARRI PL lens mount (user interchangeable). It features an 86mm front filter thread, a de-clicked aperture ring, cine-style 0.8 MOD focus, iris, and zoom gear rings, and focus marks in both feet and meters. The lens is now available for purchase starting at $1,999. We first wrote about this interesting Super35 cinema zoom lens from 7Artisans back in March 2024. Combining an impressive zoom range of 24-96mm with a constant aperture of T2.9 and an affordable price is not an easy task, but it seems that the company did well. After kind of successful Kickstarter campaign that ran from March 21 until May 9, 2024 (with a total of 40 backers), the lens is now available for retail.
